He founded My Solar Brokers to flip that model. As an independent broker, Chris doesn't work for any installer. He works for the homeowner. He shops the market on your behalf, brings you competing quotes from vetted NJ-licensed installer partners, walks you through every line of every contract, and stays involved long after the install is finished. His service is free to you — the installer pays him when you sign.

My contract review process

When you're ready to sign, I sit down with you — in person or Zoom — and walk through every line of the contract. The quote, the NJ BPU disclosure forms, the financing terms, the warranty fine print. I translate the legalese and flag every clause that could bite you later — escalator clauses, hidden cancellation fees, performance guarantees that aren't really guarantees. You don't sign anything until you fully understand it.
